South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce Bank (SBAC) Limited introduced an electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) solution named ‘SBAC Fast Account’ allowing customers to open accounts without physically visiting bank branch. Md. Masud Biswas, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and Deputy Head of Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) inaugurated the service at the bank’s head office in the capital on Saturday as chief guest, said a press release.
Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of SBAC Bank, presided over the launching ceremony. BFIU Deputy General Managers Kamal Hossain and Md. Masud Rana and Joint Director Md. Rokon-Uz-Zaman were resource persons in the workshop on “Prevention of Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism” through virtually. M. Shamsul Arefin, AMD, Shafiuddin Ahmed and Md. Kamal Uddin, DMDs of the bank spoke in the ceremony.
