Sayera Reza as Best Folk Singer in Channel i Music Award

The US expatriate Bangladeshi singer Sayera Sultana Reza got the ‘Oikko-Channel i Music Award 2019’ in the category of Best Folk Singer. She got the award for rendering the song titled Dosh debo na, which lyric was written by Anurup Aich. JK Majlish gave direction of music of the song. Sayera is very much delighted to get the award.
In music arena, Sayera Sultana Reza is familiar by name Sayera Reza. She has 30 years of career in music. When Sayera was 10 years old she received primary training in music from Nina Hamid, Pilu Momtaz and Ustad Samir Chakraborty. She got formal lessons from Abbasuddin Academy and Dina Laila Music Academy. She learned classical, Lalon, Tagore, modern, folk, Sufi and pop songs. Besides rendering song as enlisted singer at BTV and Betar, Sayera also lent her voice for play-back songs in movies. She is also a popular singer in Bengali community in USA.
Sayera has three solo albums. Dhar dharina, Holudia pakhi, Ore sona, Barir kachhe Arshinagar, Mon bhangabo bondhure aj, Tui Jodi amar hoitire, Na na na ta hobe na, Ek nishithe are her rendered popular songs.
