The Awami League backed Mayor candidate Sayeed Khokon waged his campaign in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) area. As part of election campaign, he visited Jatiya Press Club and adjacent areas on Wednesday with a number of supporters.
Talking to the journalists, he expressed his confidence about his success in the forthcoming election.
Khokon, son of former DCC Mayor Mohammad Hanif, said once he was elected Mayor, he will try to make Dhaka a clean and world class city. Among others, Information Adviser to the Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and the Coordinator of the Election Committee of Awami League Abdur Razzaque were with him.
