M Sayedul Islam on Monday joined as Women and Children Affairs Secretary an official press release said .
On the first working day, the newly appointed Secretary exchanged views with the ministry officials at its conference room . Earlier, ministry officials greeted him for new assignment .
M Sayedul Islam, a tenth batch official of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration-) earlier served in Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) as its Chairman.
The Ministry of Public Administration promoted him as Secretary on February 23 and posted him in the ministry of Women and Children Affairs .
After entering into BCS cadre official in 1991, M Sayedul Islam was also Assistant Commissioner in Cumilla and served in different capacities in the field level at Cumilla, Chattogram, Gopalganj and Gazipur districts.
He has served as Councilor (labour) at Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia for five years.
In addition to this, he was Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping.
Sayedul received short and long term training in different countries.
