At least eight people were killed and some others injured when robbers blasted bombs and looted a private bank in Ashulia area of Savar, the outskirt town of the capital, on Tuesday noon. The injured and the dead were not identified immediately after the incident took place around 3.00pm on the day. Death includes- the manager of Bangladesh Commerce Bank’s Kathgora branch of Ashulia and some other customers of the bank. The locals, however, detained two of the robbers in this connection and handed them over to police. The injured were sent to the local Enam Medical College Hospital while the Hospital sources told our reporter that the dead bodies were kept in the morgue. —More to follow—
