As a part of the University Teachers’ Association Federation, the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Teachers’ Association (SAUTA) has formed a human chain on Sunday in front of the university’s academic building to press home realizing the federation’s demand to declare an independent pay-scale for the university teachers and to raise their retirement age to 67 year.
The human chain has spontaneously participated by all the teachers of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka. Prof Dr Md Anwarul Haque Beg and Prof Dr Md. Sekender Ali, president and general secretary respectively of SAUTA talked briefly before the human-chain expressing solidarity with the demand of the University Teachers’ Association Federation.
A rally of the participating teachers was held after the human-chain.
