Saurav’s musical evening today

Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) is organising a musical evening by Dr Saurav Kumar Nahar at IGCC, Gulshan-1, Dhaka at 6:30 pm today.
Dr Saurav is an established Hindustani classical vocal music exponent of India who is presently working as a vocal teacher-cum-performer at IGCC, Dhaka.
He is one of the foremost exponents of Bhagalpur Sangeet Gharana. Born in 1984 in Bihar, Dr Saurav hails from a family of great musical maestros like late Pandit Prahalad Prasad Mishra (his grandfather) and has trained under late Pandit Ram Naresh Mishra.
Presently, he is training under the able guidance of his father Guru Pandit Sangeet Kumar Nahar. He is an M.A in music from Delhi University and obtained his doctorate degree from Indira Kala Sangit University, Khairagarh.
Dr Saurav is blessed with the basic instinct of a khayal singer.
He has an uncanny knack of performing Khayal gayaki in its myriad forms with great skill and adroitness. He has a very well cultivated voice. His musical expressions in the form of taans and smooth rhythmical movements through the saptakas are mesmerizingly beautiful.
