Saudi Arabia smartly reached the final round of the AFC U-16 Championship with all-win record outplaying the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 6-2 goals in the last Group D match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Sunday.Saudi Arabia thrashed hosts Bangladesh by 5-1 goals earlier to secure the group title.Ali Saleh put the UAE ahead in the very 5th minute by a placing shot from the left flank beating his opponent (1-0).Saudi Arabia restored the parity in the 8th minute. Midfielder Dhari Alanazi curved a free kick from right flank to the middle of the box and midfielder Ali Alshaikhi headed the ball home into the far corner of the net (1-1).Alababdan Hamad put Saudi Arabia ahead in the 16th minute by a placing shot, utilising a curved cross by midfielder Mali from right flank that came his way from a header of Aldhuwayhi Abdulaziz (2-1).Dhari Alanazi scored the 3rd goal for Saudis in the 19th minute by his solo effort after dodging past UAE keeper Alhereth Salem before placing the ball into the net (3-1)UAE Captain Majid Rashid reduced the margin in the 48th minute from a penalty (3-2). Saudi captain Almas Naif Mousa brought down UAE forward Ali Saleh Amro in the dander zone and Korean referee Kim Daeyong pointed his finger for a spot kick.
