Saudi Arabian Ambassador in Dhaka Abdullah HM Al-Mutairi on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc at his secretariat office.
They discussed various issues of mutual interests including employment of Bangladesh national in Saudi Arabia.
Nurul Isalm said Saudi Arabia is a genuine friend of Bangladesh and the relations between the two countries would also be strengthened in future.
The minister thanked Saudi Arabia as the country amended its labour law and hoped the act would help overseas employment.
He requested the Saudi government for receiving Bangladesh workers including skilled, unskilled and women workers in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi ambassador said their government is always cordial to receive workers in the country and it would continue in future.
Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment secretary Dr Khandoker Iftikhar Haider, Joint Secretary Abdur Rauf and Chief of Consular Division Councilor of Saudi Arabia Khalid Bakhsh were present, among others.
