BAIRA leaders meet Ambassador: Saudi Embassy works resolving BD expatriates problems

Staff Reporter: Saudi Ambassador in Dhaka Essa Yousef Alduhailan is working heart and soul to resolve problems facing Bangladeshi expatriates in the kingdom.
Resolving manpower recruiting agencies’ problems, recruitment of more Bangladeshi workers and increasing Saudi investment in Bangladesh also have been given priorities in his task.
The Ambassador assured it to the leaders of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) in a meeting in the embassy in the capital.
BAIRA former President Benzir Ahmed MP, General Secretary Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury Noman and Senior Vice-President Mohammad Abdul Hye on Thursday met the Saudi Ambassador. Saad Alshammari of the Embassy’s Head of Consular Section, also was present.
Dissolving the latest committee, BAIRA is now administrated by an Administrator.
“Saudi Embassy is stamping on average 3000 Bangladeshi workers visa every day, the Ambassador said us,” Mohammad Abdul Hye, also Owner of Greenland Overseas told The Daily New Nation on Saturday.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom told them that he was working to help the Bangladeshi expatriates going to the KSA.
The BAIRA leader said that the Ambassador requested the Saudi government and employers to help Bangladeshi workers in keeping quarantine smoothly.
As a result the government has given importance on the matter, and the companies are now abiding by these lines.
The Ambassador also resolved the current problems about submitting recruiting agencies profile to the embassy.
Essa Yousef Alduhailan asked those companies which failed to submit profiles in time to the Embassy may submit now through the Ministry of the Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
Ambassador said that the Embassy had give the agencies chance three times to submit updated profiles including documents of companies and owners’ certificates and police clearances, but many of those failed.
In these circumstances, those agencies failed to submit profiles cannot send manpower to Saudi Arabia.
After BAIRA leaders meeting, the Ambassador suggested to submit profiles through the Ministry and those will be granted and the agencies can send manpower to the Kingdom again.
In the meeting the Essa Yousef Alduhailan said, the kingdom is not only keen to increase recruiting manpower, but also want to invest more in Bangladesh.
Praising the Kingdoms Fastfood brand Herfy’s first growing business in Bangladesh, he said there is such more potential investment would be occurred soon.
