The Saudi Arabian Football team will arrive in the capital today (Thursday) afternoon to play the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers beginning at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on September 16. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will arrive in the city on Monday (September 14) to participate in the qualifying round of the Asian Junior meet.
Earlier, hosts Bangladesh have been put in Group D of the Asian meet alongside Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Pakistan. However, Pakistan withdrew from the meet.
In Group D, Bangladesh will play the inaugural match with stronger Saudi Arabia on September 16 and the UAE on September 18. The remaining group match between Saudi Arabia and the UAE will be held on September 20.
