Two Saudi companies ACWA Power and ARAMCO have expressed their keen interest to invest in Bangladesh in a meeting with the State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid in the secretariat on Monday.
The ACWA Power prefer to invest in power generation and supplying LNG while ARAMCO wants to invest for setting up big volume oil refinery in Chattagram, the ministry officials said.
“We always welcome the Saudi investment in the country and there is huge scope for them in all sectors,” Nasrul Hamid said.
ACWA power and ARAMCO have capacity to make big volume of investment in Bangladesh. “We are preparing pacific proposal for Saudi’s investment,” he said.
