Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Professor Dr Mirza Hasanuzzaman has been listed among the world’s top scientists.
The listing is based on a research citation report published by researchers at Stanford University in the US.
At least 1,59,683 scientists have been enlisted in the report from different branches of science. Of them, 26 are from Bangladesh including Dr. Mirza Hasanuzzaman.
The Professor has been selected as ‘Plant Biology and Botany’ category scientist. About 148 articles of Dr. Mirza have been published in different international journals.
According to the Scopus database, Dr. Mirza has been cited more than 6,000 times.

Dr. Hasanuzzaman was awarded Australia’s most prestigious Endeavor Research Fellowship in 2017 for postdoctoral research.
He received the Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship and the Monbukagakusho Scholarship respectively in 2015 and 2009.
He was rewarded by the Young Scientist Award from The World Academy of Sciences in 2014 for his stupendous contribution to biology.
