A third-year student of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University named Ahsan Habib(third year) has been accused of threatening SAU proctorial by snatching his mobile phone. He said that, on February 23, I saw the proctorial team miking from the Nawab’s Square of SAU. Then I made a video from my phone. Seeing this, assistant proctor Rakibur Rahman snatched the phone from my hand and immediately 10-15 teachers surrounded me. Proctor Harunur Rashid Sumon threatened to give me the password of my phone.
He asked me, what is my batch? What is your registration number? Where do you send this video? Are you a Shibir man? They opening my phone and eventually deleted the recorded video. Then they returned my phone. At that time assistant proctor, Rakibur Rahman told him that, such smartness is not good.
He threatened the student that, he (student) will be in danger. It is noted that the authorities of SAU asked all the hall residents to be vacant by 10 am on February 23. Allegations of rudeness and abuse have been made against the hall authorities. An MS student in term of his name anonymously told that the Sirajuddaula hall told him to leave the hall immediately, otherwise he would face a negative report on his police verification. Asking about the incidence of threatening the student. The proctor said that that was not the case.
Ahsan Habib was filming while checking the hall. The video was later deleted from his phone then returned to him. He further expressed that, filming any video need permission but the student was not taking any permission before filming. At that time we have also lady teachers. The words the student told are fabricated. ‘If he has any comments, let him know in the written document’ the proctor said. Professor Dr. Shahidur Rashid Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor of SAU said that he was not aware of the matter. He will talk to the accused officers and aware them.
