After departure of coach Shane Jurgensen, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has not yet got a high profile foreign coach. So, Sarwar Imran is likely the acting coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Sarwar Imran is now the coach of Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team.
BCB formed a five-member committee to select a high profile coach for Bangladesh National Cricket team. The members are: BCB Directors Mahbubul Anam, Jalal Yunus, Akram Khan, Naimur Rahman Durjoy and Khaled Mahmud Sujan.
Chairman of Media Committee of BCB Jalal Yunus said to a website, “Sarwar Imran will perform as an acting coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team.”
After ending of IPL, Indian National Cricket team will visit Bangladesh in June to play three One Day International matches against Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Jalal said, “During the tour of India and some time, Sarwar Imran will act as a coach.”
