BSS, JU :The Saraswati Puja, a religious festival of the Hindu community, was celebrated at Central Mandir Mondop on Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus here yesterday with much enthusiasm and befitting manner.A numbers of Hindu devotees particularly the students of the university went to the Puja Mondap in the early hour of yesterday to perform puja there. They also held ‘Bani Archana’ at different departments and in their home-yards. JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Farzana Islam visited the Central Puja Mondop and greeted the Hindu devotees.The JU VC expressed the hope that the members of the Hindu community would reflect the ideals and spirit of the Saraswati Puja in their works and thoughts.She hoped that all members of the JU Hindu community would continue their efforts to uphold the communal harmony and fraternity in the society. JU Pro VC Professor Dr. Abul Hossain, Proctor Professor Dr. Tapan Kumar Shaha and Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique were present on the occasion, among others.
