Khulna-based Srima Sarada Ashram, a philanthropic organization working for women development, will be inaugurated formally tomorrow (August 23) on the day of Janmashtami at Amirpur union of Paikgacha upazila in Khulna district.
Principal of Vedanta Society, St. Louis, USA Swami Chetanananda will inaugurate the Ashram.
A colorful procession named “Sampriti Shovajatra” will be brought out from the Ashram. Srimat Swami Ameyanandaji Maharaj of Ramkrishna Math, Dhaka will inaugurate the procession.
Marking the inauguration of the Ashram, a three-day programme will be arranged from August 22. The programmes include performance of devotional songs, recitation from holy Vedas, discussions, cultural functions and distribution of prashad.
Samiron Kumar Basu, a devotee of the Ashram, said many devotees from across the country and Vivekananda Study and Philanthropic Centre, USA are providing financial assistance to run the Ashram.
Srimat Swami Ameyanandaji Maharaj, former Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math, Dhaka laid the foundation stone of “Srima Sarada Ashrama” on May 14 in 2015.
