Santahar municipal election will be held on January 18. Alcohol and marijuana addiction has spread in the Santahar railway compound late into the night during the election period. The drug users are using drugs in front of the railway police, who are pretending not to have seen. It is learned since Santahar is a railway junction, various kinds of drugs come to Santahar from neighboring India by train.
These drugs are transited at different points at Santahar or at home. From evening till late night, buying and selling of alcohol, cannabis and heroin continue.
Local residents Mubarak Ali and Rahim Uddin said, “We are facing obstacles to live a healthy life.” We are very worried about our children. At any moment, they can get involved in this drug.
Talking to Railway Police OC Manoj Ali, he said, “If these things happen without my knowledge, I will take immediate action.
