While the shooting of the Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer Padmavati was on in full swing at the Jaigarh Fort in Rajasthan, a mob of protestors barged in and vandalised the set. What comes in as a shocker is that the angry mob even attacked Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Pictures and videos of the atrocious act have surfaced on the Internet that has enraged fans and the film industry alike.
The protest was reportedly carried out by the Rajput Karni Sena and was against an alleged love scene between Padmavati (played by Deepika Padukone) and Alauddin Khilji (played by Ranveer Singh).
The filmmaker was slapped repeatedly and his clothes were torn apart thus leading his security team to resort to firing in the air. He has now decided to not shoot the film there at all.
Insiders reveal that no actors were present at the shoot but a large unit of the team is still stuck there and are waiting for further guidance from the police.
What makes things even worse is the whisper that apparently there is no lovemaking scene at all in the film.
