Legend Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara has been named the Captain of Dhaka Dynamites. Dhaka Dynamites will take part in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Media Manager of Dhaka Dynamites Syed Azizur Rahman Quadri said to this Reporter on Tuesday, ” It is confirm that Kumar Sangakkara will lead Dhaka Dynamites in the third edition of BPL. We shall officially announce this matter soon.”
The logo, jersey and theme song unveiling programme of Dhaka Dynamites was held at a city hotel on Tuesday.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Anisul Huq was present on the occasion as the chief guest while Vice-Chairman of BEXIMCO Limited Salaman F Rahman was with him as the special guest.
CEO of Dhaka Dynamites, Obeid R. Nizam in his speech welcomed everyone and thanked Beximco for giving him this opportunity. He also said “It doesn’t matter whether we win or lose; we surely plan to have fun to the fullest and embrace every game with team spirit. We have a great team, hope to have an amazing future and we promise to work hard and enjoy the sport.”
Speaking at the programme, Shayan F Rahman said: “BPL is rolling into the field and it is a great achievement. Beximco family is very happy to become a part of this season’s tournament. Beximco always plays its best role to develop the country’s sports arena.”
Franchise Chairman Shavan M Rahman, CEO of Dhaka Dynamites Obeid R Nizam and Adviser of Dhaka Dynamites Rafey Alam were also present at the programme.
