Speed star Sandra Bullock sometimes wishes she and the two African-American children she adopted looked more like each other. The Oscar winner guested on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk Facebook Watch show and admitted parenting is difficult at times because she is white while her children, Louis, 11, and Laila, eight, are black.
“To say that I wished our skins matched… sometimes I do. Because then it would be easier on how people approach us,” Sandra confessed to Jada and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, in a teaser promo for the program.
“And I have the same feelings as a woman with brown skin, and it being her babies. Or a white woman with white babies,” she continued in the 30-second clip.
The Blind Side actress adopted Louis in 2010 when he was three and a half months old, and Laila in 2015, when she was three. Willow Smith, Jada’s daughter with Will Smith, added color shouldn’t matter.
