Noted media personality and once popular TV actor Afzal Hossain did not see hosting any programme on Bangladesh Television (BTV). But to welcome first day of Bangla New Year 1423, he will be seen to host a programme on BTV.
Under the total coordination of Director General of BTV SM Harun-ur-Rashid and production of Mahbuba Ferdous Afzal Hossain will host a musical programme titled Bakbakum Paira. Recording of the programme was done on Monday. In the programme, popular singers Samina Chowdhury and Fahmida Nabi rendered a song together titled Lilabali lilabali bhora joiboti soigo ki diya sajaimu torey. They were accompanied by band, Joler Gaan for instrumental music support. The programme will be aired on Pahela Boishakh after 10:00pm news on BTV. While talking about the programme Afzal Hossain told this correspondent, “Both I and BTV authority tried to present something special for the viewers on the occasion of Pahela Boishakh. I hope viewers will enjoy the programme.”
Samina Chowdhury said, “There is something exceptionality in the programme Bakbakum Paira. We, two sisters tried our level best to present something entertaining for the viewers. I believe they will enjoy the programme.”
Fahmida Nabi shared her feelings by this way, “Under Afzal Bhai’s hosting getting opportunity to render a song with my sister I felt glad and also enjoyed a lot. Viewers will find something exceptionality from this programme.”
Afzal Hossain also informed that on the occasion of coming Eid-ul-Fitr he will take part in shooting of a play under Arif Khan’s direction. Yesterday Samina was engaged to prepare music video of her a song based on Boishakh. Its music video was also made by her.
On the other hand, under Fahmida Nabi’s hosting music related a gossiping show titled Surer Ayna is being aired on Banglavision now.
