With the scholarship given by the Indian
government Samarjit Roy received higher study in music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya of Delhi. He secured the first position in whole India. As a result, he got seven
important awards. But this singer’s news remains silent in our media. Samarjit is practicing music silently now. His rendered song titled Tumi Bhorer Pakhir Moto with noted Indian singer Hoimonty Shukla was released on a YouTube channel few days ago. Samarjit himself has composed the song which got popularity among the music lovers.
Today is Samarjit’s birthday. On the occasion of his birthday, G-Series will release his song titled O Je Amai Mondo Bole on its YouTube channel. JK Dutta wrote lyrics of the song while Samarjit has composed its music.
While talking about his new song Samarjit told this correspondent, “Music is my prayer. It is passion, fascination and alls. To come into my present position there is lot of contributions of my parents and all the mentors.
I want to pass my whole life with music and also want to present nice songs to all. I believe listeners will enjoy my new song.”
Besides rendering song, Samarjit also received
special degree on playing table from Pracheen Kala Kendra of Chandigarh, India. He worked as teacher of classical music at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya of Delhi for 12 years.
