One of the popular singers of present time Salma has made her returns to the live stage after taking a yearlong break. Her fans and admirers enjoyed her performing live on Friday in a TV show titled ‘Ichchhey Gaan-er Dupur.’ Produced by Ajay Poddar, the show was presented by Dithi Anwar.
Salma shared her thoughts about performing live after a year, “I am not on the side of performing in live shows every month on television. I am quite aware that my listeners are quite eager to see me performing live. However, that does not mean that I will perform every month. It will be great if my listeners anticipate my performances.”
“In addition to performing music, I am also quite busy with some other projects. That is why, I only choose to perform one or two live shows a year,’ she added.
As far as yesterday’s show is concerned, Salma mentioned that she presented songs from her various solo albums along with some of her most popular songs. She will also be taking requests from the audience.
Last Wednesday, Salma also began the work for her new solo album with a track titled ‘Mon Majhi.’ Ziauddin Alam penned down the lyric, who is also behind the tune.
The music arrangement of the song is done by Rezwan Sheikh. In addition, the recording of a new song written by Zahid Akbar will also begin shortly.
Salma informed that the new album will consist of about three to four tracks. The songs may also be available in video format in the album.
The track titled ‘Poraner Bondhu’ by Salma has so far received immense popularity and has surpassed more than 1 million views on YouTube.
