The marriage relation between singer Mousumi Akter Salma and MP Shibli Sadik has come to an end by divorce with presence of two families in a restaurant at Dhanmondi on November 20. On Saturday she confirmed the matter.
Folk singer Salma gained overnight popularity by the reality show ‘Close up Tomakey Khunjche Bangladesh.’ With the common background of music Salma got married to Shibli Sadik of Dinajpur in the year 2011. The name of their only daughter is Sneha.
According to several sources and media reports, Salma herself took the initiative to get divorced following recent family conflict that went to serious stage. Anyway, it is also known that Shibli handed over Tk 20 lakh and to Salma as the seal money during the arrangement.
