The Railway authorities will start selling advance train tickets from August 8 for Eid passengers ahead of Eid.
The sale will continue till August 12. On the other hand, the return ticket sale will start from August 15 and continue till August 19, Railways Minister Mazibul Hoque said in a press briefing in his ministry on Thursday.
Senior officials were present on the occasion.
Passengers will be able to collect tickets from 8:00am, the minister said.
Train tickets of August 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 will be sold on August 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and the return train tickets of August 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 will be sold on August 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, the minister said.
The holy Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in the country on August 22 depending on the moon sighting of Zilhajj month.
