Salary of female cricketers to be increased

The salary of female cricketers of Bangladesh will be increased. Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team performed well in their home soil. Thus, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to increase the remuneration of female cricketers.
BCB has selected 30 female cricketers, who will get the facilities of lucrative salary. Earlier, 20 female cricketers got that opportunity.
After the final match of Metropolitan Women’s Cricket League between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Abahani Limited at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday, Chairman of Women’s Wing of BCB Abdul Awal Chowdhury Bulu said, “We are giving importance to deal with women’s cricket. We are giving priority to them. So, they will perform well not only in Twenty20 World Cricket but also in the other competitions. For this reason we have decided to increase their salary. Besides, we are thinking to form a Bangladesh Women’s A team. So, there will be no problem for those cricketers, who are in the pipeline.”
The female cricketers will get their salary according to four categories. The four categories are: A+, A, B and C. A cricketer, who will be included in the A+ category, will get Tk 30,000. a cricketer, who will be taken place in A category, will be given Tk 20,000, a cricketer, who will be included in B category, will get Tk 15,000 and a cricketer who will be taken place in C category, will be given Tk 10,000.
BCB has not yet announced the final decision.
