Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has given nomination to Salahuddin Ahmed and Sheikh Mohammad Rezaul Karim to contest in the by-elections in Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 constituencies of Jatiya Sangsad.
BNP Chairperson’s press wing member Shyrul Kabir Khan confirmed it on Sunday evening.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, the BNP’s
Nomination Board took interview of 29 candiates for contesting the by-elections in four vacant seats of the JS. Though the interviews of the candidates for Dhaka-18 and Sirajganj-1 seats were taken, their names have not been announced till filing this report on Sunday evening.
Nabi Ullah Nabi, former MP Salahuddin Ahmed, teachers’ leader Selim Bhuiyan, Md Jummon Mia and Akbar Hossain bought nomination forms to become the candidates in the Dhaka-5 by-election.
On the other hand, Abdus Shukur, MM Faruque, Mahmudul Arefin, Eshaq Ali, Atiqur Rahman, Sheikh Mohammad Rezaul Islam, Md Shafiqul Islam and Abu Sayeed Rafiqul Alam bought nomination forms to become candidates for the Naogaon-6 by-election.
