Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin-led panel swept the much-talked-about Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) election grabbing 17 posts of the 21-member executive committee.
Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin has been elected BFF president for the 3rd consecutive term defeating Kamrul Ashraf Khan Poton, MP, by 33 votes in the election held at Radisson Blu Water Garden hotel in the capital on Saturday amid a festive mood.

Salahuddin secured 83 votes to be re-elected for the hot seat of BFF while parliament member cum businessman Poton polled 50.
This was the first time that all the delegates cast their votes in the BFF election. However, one out of 134 votes was cancelled.
A total of 134 councillors from across the country exercised their franchise in the election that continued till 5 pm from 2 pm.
Earlier, Abdus Salam Murshedy was re-elected senior vice-president of BFF unopposed as Kamrul Ashraf Khan MP-led panel did not find any candidate for the post and they fielded 14 EC member candidates out of 15.
Two sitting Vice-presidents Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP, (92 vote) and Badal Roy (73 votes) were re-elected alongside fresh VP candidate Mahiuddin Ahmed Mahi (72 votes) from the Salahuddin-led panel while another sitting vice president Tabith Awal (66 votes) was also re-elected vice-president as an independent candidate.
A total of 10 candidates vied for the four vice-president posts.
The vice-president candidates who lost the election were Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, MP, (58 votes) of the Salahuddin-led panel; AKM Mominul Haque Sayed (53) , Najib Ahmed (38), Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Chunnu (24) and Khurshid Alam Babul (23) of Poton-led panel while independent candidate Sheikh Mohammad Maruf Hasan bagged 33 votes.
Twelve elected EC members from the Salahuddin-led panel are: Shawkat Ali Khan Jahangir (114 votes), Amirul Islam Babu (105), Harun Ur Rashid (94), Satyjit Das Rupu and Elias Hossain (85), Fazlur Rahman Babul (83), Arif Hossain Moon (82), Amit Khan Shuvra (81), Mohiuddin Ahmed Selim, Zakir Hossain Chowdhury (78), Abdur Rahim (70) and Mahfuza Akhter Kiron (68).
Three losing candidate of the Salahuddin panel are Tawfikul Islam Tofa (67), Saleh Zaman Selim (61) and Alamgir Khan Alo (46).
Two elected EC member from Kamrul Ashraf-led panel are Bijon Barua (84) and Sheikh Mohammad Aslam (68).
Former national footballer cum Abahani captain Iqbal Hossain was also elected EC member as an independent candidate polling 84.
Losing EC candidates from Kamrul Ashraf Khan panel are Imtiaz Sultan Joni (40), Abdul Gaffar (32), Nawsher Uzzaman (19), Abu Hasan Chowdhury Prince (18), Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu (66), Asfar Uz Zaman Khan Sohrab (22), Saifur Rahman Moni (67), Mohammad Tipu Sultan (59), Mohammad Iqbal (31), Kamrun Nahar Dana (34), Sayed Rumman Bin Wali Sabbir (32) and Kaiser Hamid (19).
Losing independent EC candidates are Amer Khan (35) and Asaduzzaman Mitu (58).
