With the context of post Language Movement in 1952 story of the play Chhapakhanar Gondho has been made recently where a vivid picture of old Dhaka of that time period was portrayed.
Not only social context but also a true love story between a young man and lady was also focused in the story of the play.
Directed by Jubayer Ibne Bakar story of the play was written by Anisul Haque. Produced under the banner of Creative Infinity the cast of the play includes Sajal, Orsha, Ataur Rahman, Wahida Mollick Jolly, Saberi Alam, Sanjid Khan Prince, Abir Khan, Sukorno Ahmed, Puja, Yusha, among others.
Shooting of the play had done in different locations in old Dhaka including Nawabganj of Lalbagh and Osmani Uddyan areas.
While sharing his feelings to act in exceptional story based play Sajal told this correspondent, “I have acted in an exceptional role in the play. I made different types of costume for the play because gate-up of all the actors was the time period of 50s. specially I do not get the opportunity to act in such type of story based play. In fact, budget is an important factor in this type of play. It became a nice play.”
Orsha shared her feelings by this way, “Gate-up, costume and context of the play were focused to the fifties. In fact, I have really enjoyed working in the play.”
