Saint Gregory’s High School will face Narinda Government High School in the final of the Boys’ Group of the Polar Icecream 23rd School Handball Tournament at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium today. The match starts at 3.30 pm.
Saint Gregory’s High School moved to the final when they edged past Sunnydale by 20-19 goals in the first semifinal at the same venue on Tuesday.
The first half was locked 10-10.
Ikramul of Saint Gregory’s High School scored eight goals and his teammate Sujan netted six goals while Shaif of Sunnydale scored eight goals.
Narinda Government High School reached the final when they eased past BISC 41-26 goals in the second semifinal at the same venue on the same day.
Narinda led the first half 17-13.
Monir of Narinda Government High School scored 16 goals and his teammate Shihab netted 12 goals while Tanvir of BISC netted 11 goals.
After the final match, State Minister for Finance MA Mannan, MP will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while CEO of Dhaka Icecream Industries Limited Shah Masud Imam will be with him as the special guest.
