Advocate Saifuzzaman Shikhor, MP, of Magura-1 constituency inaugurated the football referees’ training and refreshers course at the Valiant Freedom Fighter Asaduzzaman Stadium in Magura on Tuesday. The seven-day long training programme will come to an end on September 27. Police Super of Magura District Mohammad Zahirul Islam presided over the inaugural ceremony.
Upazila Chairman of Magura Sadar Abu Nasir Bablu, General Secretary of Magura District Sports Association Mokbul Hossain, General Secretary of Magura Press Club Shamim Khan, President of Magura Upazila Awami League Babul Fakir, President of Magura Football Association Jillur Rahman Lajuk and FIFA approved referees’ trainers Ehsanul Haque and Nazmul Hasan were present at the opening ceremony.
A total of 70 participants including female trainees have been taking part in the football referees’ training and refreshers course.
