SAIF Sporting Club will face T&T Club Motijheel in the opening match of the Marcel Bangladesh Championship League Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today. The match kicks-off at 4.30 pm.
Marking the upcoming football competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Friday.
Senior Vice-President of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anowar Dawn, Members of Executive Committee of BFF Abdur Rahim and Ilias Ail and the representatives of the participating clubs were present at the conference.
A total of eight teams will take part in the ensuing football meet. They are: SAIF Sporting Club, T&T Club Motijheel, Agrani Bank, Victoria SC, Chittagong Mohammedan Sporting Club, Bangladesh Police, Karwan Bazar SC, Youngmens Club Fakirerpol.
Additional Police Super Nasrul Alib Lupa said, ” We missed last year to clinch the trophy. We have recruited five new footballers to earn the championship title.”
Zahidul Alam of Chittagong Mohammedan Sporting Club said, ” We shall try to go forward.”
Abdur Rahman of T&T Club Motijheel said, ” Unfortunately we could not moved into Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football last year. We shall try our level best to qualify in the BPL.”
Nuruzzaman of Victoria SC said, ” We have recruited many newcomers in our squad. We shall try to be champions.”
Rafiq of Agrani Bank said, ” We will give fight for championship.”
Ziauddin Ahmed of Karwan Bazar SC said, ” We shall fight for championship title.”
Mahmubur Rahman of SAIF Sporting Club said, ” We shall give fight for championship trophy.”
Arifur Rahman Robin of Youngmens Club of Fakirerpool said, ” We shall try to show fine and joyful football.”
