Saif SC beat Sheikh Russel Mohammedan secure facile victory over Brothers Union in BPL

Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited added valuable points in their tally in the race of runners-up as they secured a comfortable 2-0 goal victory over struggling Brothers Union Club in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League Football held on Tuesday at Bangladesh Army Stadium in the city.
Midfielder Shahed Hossain and Malian forward Souleymane Diabate scored one goal each in both halves to secure Mohammedan’s tenth victory in the league after leading the first half by 1-0 goal.
Shahed Hossain opened an account scoring the first goal for Mohammedan in the 41st minute while after the breather Souleymane Diabate sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Mohammedan in the 83rd minute of the match.
Mohammedan SC played good football in the entire proceeding and notched their deserving victory on the day while Brothers Union were totally off-colored.
With the day’s victory, the traditional black and white Motijheel outfit Mohammedan SC secured 36 points from 20 matches while the all-orange Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union Club, who are struggling to skip relegation, remained at their previous credit of six points playing 19 outings.  
In the another match Nigerian forward Kenneth Ikechukwu struck twice as Saif Sporting Club recorded a 4-2 goal victory over Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS).
Apart from Kenneth Ikechukwu’s two goals, another Nigerian striker John Okoli scored one goal while Sheikh Russel’s defender Asaduzzaman Bablu scored a suicidal goal in the match.
On the other hand, Nigerian midfielder Ugochukwu Obi Moneke scored two goals for Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra.
Saif Sporting Club, who launched early attacks, took the lead through a suicidal goal as Sheikh Russel defender Asaduzzaman Bablu scored an own goal in the very 10th minute of the match.
However, the lead lasted for a few minutes as Sheikh Russel bounced back in the match when Ugochukwu Obi Moneke scored the first goal for Sheikh Russel in the 14th minute.
Forward Kenneth Ikechukwu again put Saif SC ahead as he scored his first and second goal for Saif in the 27th minute while John Okoli further increased the margin scoring the third goal for Saif in the 40th minute of the match.
After resumption, Kenneth Ikechukwu scored his second and fourth goal for Saif SC in the 52nd minute while Ugochukwu Obi Moneke reduced the margin scoring his second goal for Sheikh Russel in the 63rd minute of the match.
Sheikh Russel tried heart and soul to stage a fight back in the match creating some chances but they could not convert any lack of proper finishing in the remaining proceeding.
Saif SC played good football all through the proceeding, especially in the first half,and notched their deserving victory while Sheikh Russel fought back in the second half but they failed to change the fate of the match.
The day’s win saw Saif SC moved to sixth position in the league table with 32 points from 19 matches while Sheikh Russel KC ranked at seventh position with 30 points from twenty outings.  
Earlier in the first leg, Siaf SC beat Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 2-1 goals held at the same venue.
