President of City Awami League , former City Mayor and Convenor of Chittagong Bandar Rakkha Parishad has alleged that Saif Power Tec Ltd , NCT operator of Chittagong Port has link with the intelligence agency of Pakistan.
He said Saif Power is the agent of Pakistan and a good number of Pakistani nationals are working in Port and it is not wise to allow the Pakistanis in the most important secret place of the country.
He was addressing the participants of hunger strike called by the Bandar Rakkha Parishad at Bandar Bhaban yesterday demanding abrogation of all types deals with the illegally as signed Saif power in port handling work without any competitive tenders. The hunger strike began yesterday at 10 am.
The hunger strike enforced over the non-enforcing any types of actions against the Saif Power as yet despite repeated warnings and actions programs. Mohiuddin Chowdhury told that all sorts of agreement for ICD, CCT and NCT of Chittagong Port should be cancelled immediately.
He further mentioned that Saif Power is the agent of ISI and disseminating the secrecy of the port to abroad through this agent and Saif Power is also working as agent of home and international clutches which is most harmful for the country.
He also mentioned that Saif Power has been entrusted with port operating activities without any tender bidding with best interest of a section of dishonest officials of the port authority . He also announced public meeting at Laldight on September 10 next. The hunger strike continued upto 6 pm yesterday.

Iskander, President of Stevedors workers union Mofizur Rahman, General Secretary C&F Agents Sramik Union Sajjadur Rahman Bachchu, President of Mercent Sramik Union Md. Mohiuddin, General Secretary Abul Bashar, Presdient of BSC Seamen Association Sirajul Islam, General Secretary of Marine Contractors Welfare Samity Monir Hossain, Secretary of Loading and Unloading Sramik Union Md. Selim were present on the occasion, a sources said.
