Saidpur Upazila has been declared as 100% Scouts Upazila on Thursday.
On this occasion, a scout rally was held at the Stadium Ground of Saidpur. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Khaled Rahim declared Saidpur as 100% Scouts Upazila as the Chief Guest. The program was presided over by UNO Md Bazlur Rashid. A memorandum was published on this occasion and the invited guests inaugurated the memorandum.
Upazila Chairmen Moksedul Momin, Municipal Mayor Amjad Hossain Sarker, Assistant Commissioner (land) Parimal Kumar Sarker President of Pubali Scouts Science Club Akhter Hossain Badal and leaders of Dinajpur Scouts Zone and District Scouts were present as special guests.
The Chief Guest said, Scouts are the best means of human services. Besides reading the text, scouting will have to build itself as a human. He said Nilphamari will be declared as Scout District in the future and today its process has started.
Earlier, a press briefing was held in the office of Upazila Nirbahi Officer on Tuesday. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Bazlur Rashid said there were 125 educational institutions (including Madras) from primary to degree at Saidpur Upazila. The cubs, scouts and rover groups have been formed in all these institutions. For this, one teacher of each educational institution has already been given scout training.
