Awami League candidate Md.Safro Ali Bhuiyan was elected Chairman of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Parishad election.
On Sunday (March 31), Assistant Returning Officer and Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Election Officer A.H.M Jamery Hassan announced the names of the winners.
It is known that Awami League candidate Md.Safro Ali Bhuiyanhas been elected chairman of 41 thousand 614 votes. His nearest candidate gotAnowar Hossain Pineapple 32 thousand 468 votes. Besides, Kafil Uddin Bhuiyan (Parrot)has been elected Vice Chairman of 30,874 votes. His closest candidate Md Oyaliur Rahman (Aircraft) got 26 thousand 682 votes. Sahida Begum (Duck) was elected to the Vice-Chairman of the women with 28,144 votes.
His immediate opponent Akhi Rani Das got 23 thousand 324 votes.
