The national women’s football team returned home on Thursday from Nepal following their disappointing campaign in the SAFF Women’s Championship. A Bangladesh Biman Airlines carrying the eve team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2.45 pm, according to a message received here on Thursday from Bangladesh Football Federation.
It was a frustrating SAFF campaign of the girls in red and green as they made exit from the championship race losing by 0-4 goals defeat to holders India in the second semi-final.
Earlier, Bangladesh finished group A runners-up losing to host Nepal by 0-3 goals before winning the group first match against Bhutan by 2-0 margin.
