To demand safety for lives in the wake of the increasing death toll in road and fire incidents on regular basis, the Dhaka Metropolitan Branch of World Humanity Revolution-Bangladesh organized a peaceful human chain at National Press Club on Saturday.
At the direction of the founder of World Sunni Movement and World Humanity, Revolution Allama Imam Hayat, the human chain program was presided at by the Secretary General of the Organization Sheikh Raihan Rahbar. The speakers were the central committee members namely Abu Abrar Chisty, Ahmed Shah Morshed, Awal Quadery, Sheikh Hanif, Golam Sadeque, Mainul Bari, Adv. Shaker Hossen, Lecturer Maruf Uddin, Adv. Mokarrom Hossen, Ashraful Alam, Mainuddin Titu, Adv. Sharmin Sultana, Adv. Afroza Tanzim and Lecturer Aimy Nishan.
The speakers said, the road accidents would be reduced to a great extent if there are dividers on all the roads and highways. They said, we pay tax; but there are no safety measures and equipment to save people’s lives. Few mega-projects are no development when there is no safety for people’s lives and rights.
The speakers pointed that people’s lives are in difficulty because of the indifference of the government.
