A press conference under the banner of Amra Sandwipbashi was held at Chttagong Press Club hall yesterday morning demanding safe journey to Sandwip during Eid vacation.
Chief coordinator of the orgainisation Dr. Md. Rafiqul Mowla readout the written statement before the newsmen.
The press meet demanded life jack jacket to each passenger during their journey to Sandwip in the month of June and July Sources said, the sea remains rough during these two months.
The holy Eid will be celebrated in first part of the month of June and hence life jack is necessary for passengers.
The press meet also demanded decrease of ferry fare with maximum Tk.200 each instead of Tk. 300 during the Eid vacations.
The speakers in the press meet demanded high speedy speed boat on board of 100passengers like islands o Bangkok and Singapore.
Other leaders of the organsastion also present in it, sources said.
