In the beginning of 90s, as a new pair, Nayeem and Shabnaz got huge popularity to act in Ehtesham directed movie Chandni. As a part of their
continuation, Salman Shah and Moushumi also got popularity as a pair in Sohanur Rahman Sohan’s movie Keyamot Theke Keyamot. Later, many directors took newcomer hero and heroines in their movies but they could not get such popularity like Shabnaz-Nayeem and Salman-Moushumi. Bappy-Mahiya Mahi debuted as new pair in Shahin Sumon directed country’s first digital movie Bhalobasar Rong. As a part of
its continuation, a new pair — singer Sheikh Sadi and promising actress Anamika – is expected to lead the film industry through Abu Tawhid Kiron’s movie Songshoyee.
Anamika earlier acted in Mabrur Rashid Bannah’s web series C for Coaching. For the first time, she is acting in a movie. On the other hand, Sadi is a promising singer who got many offers for acting earlier. He liked the story and role of Kiron’s movie. For this reason, he agreed to work in movie Songshoyee. Both Sadi and Anamika informed that they will take part in shooting of the movie for 10 to 12 days in a row from June 18. Songshoyee is a teenage love story. Sadi will play the role of Oni, while Anamika will act in role
of Diba in the movie.
While talking about acting in movie for the first time Sheikh Sadi said, “Earlier, I acted in own music videos. After confirming to work in this movie my responsibility has increased. I have to act well. Now I am feeling that pressure. I shall try to give my level best effort to portray my role properly.”
Anamika said, “My movie’s director searched me for acting in Songshoyee. One day he gave me phone call to give me offer for acting in his movie. I heard story of the film from him and also informed about my character. I was also informed about my hero in the film. Overall, I thought it will become a nice work. So, I agreed to work. Though I am nervous but I am taking preparation for acting in the movie. I believe Inshallah
it will become a successful movie.” Anamika is studying HSC at Barishal Metropolitan College. For acting in the film, she has to stay in Dhaka now, Anamika also said.
