Sadhona`s new artistic venture to be staged at BSA today

Sadhona (A Center for the Advancement of South Asian Culture) has attempted to bring its new artistic presentation on experimental theatre Kalchoutisha which is scheduled to be held at National Theatre (main hall) of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the city’s Segunbagicha area at 7:00pm today.
The play Kalchoutisha is written by Shahman Moishan who is a new phenomenon in Bangladesh contemporary theatre. Talented playwright Shahman Moishan’s Kalchoutisha has been directed by Reaz Mahmud who earns his reputation for creative scenography in performing arts of this country. The artistic director of this production Lubna Marium has said that the production is an aesthetic fusion of theatre and physical language.
Playwright Shahman Moishan hints that Kalchoutisha is a contemporary epic of love, conjugal life and socio-political-ontological trauma and eternal vision of man and woman as the cosmic being. The production desires to create a theatrical space where performers and audiences can encounter the essence of time and life with their core existential presence.
In this production, the performers include Ashiq Rahman Leeon, Kazi Tamanna Haque Sigma, Afjal Kabir, Tanbhir Nahid Khan, Shakila Simki, Shaharul Islam Kajal, Kamrul Islam Maruf, Nazmul Huda Shakir, Hafijul Islam Ujjal, Amit Chowdhury, Shammi Akter et al. Santanu Halder has been engaged in this production as Dramaturge where Amit Chowdhury is the choreographer, Maruf Raihan is the videographer, Nirjhor Chowdhury, Rokon Emon and Mahmudul Hasan Prodhan have involved in music composition and operation.
