Sadharan Bima Krira Sangha and Ajax Sporting Club recorded wins in their respective matches of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League on Thursday.
In the day’s first match, Sadharan Bima Krira Sangha beat Wari Club by a solitary goal at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.
After a barren first half, Ziaur Rahman of Sadharan Bima Krira Sangha scored the all-important goal in the 51st minute of the play.
In the day’s other match, Ajax Sporting Club blanked Railway Sporting Club by 6-0 goals at the same venue.
The first half ended in a goalless draw.
Toimur Malik of Ajax Sporting Club scored two goals and his teammates Imteaz Ahmed, Rahat Sarowar, Abdur Rahman, Shahidul Islam successfully struck one time each on the board.
