Sacrificial animals to be transported by special train from North

The Paksey division of the Western Railway is launching a Cattle special train to reach the sacrificial animal to the capital and several districts in the north. The special train will run from Chapainawabganj to Dhaka from July 6-8. On Friday (July 1), Pakshi Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter of animal transport.
The DRM said the train would leave Chapainawaganj station for Dhaka at 4.30 pm on July 6. All preparations have been made for the launch of Cattle Special Train. In addition to lifting animals at the designated station, if there are more animal bookings from any station, arrangements will be made to take the animals by train from there as well. It is learned that the train will stop at Kankanhat, Rajshahi, Chatmohar, Ullapara, Bangabandhu Bridge (West), Joydevpur, Tongi, Tejgaon and reach Kamalapur station at 5 am. 5-7 wagons will be added to the Cattle Special Train. Each wagon will cost 11 thousand 690 taka. Each wagon can carry 20 cows. The cost per cow will be 591 taka 40 paise.
Pakshi Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Nasir Uddin said, Cattle special train is being arranged like every year. It takes 20-30 hours for the sacrificial animals to reach Dhaka by road from the north. Cattle special train will reach there in just 12 and a half hours. Costs and suffering of farmers and traders will be reduced.
Pakshi Railway Divisional Transport Officer (DTO) Anwar Hossain said the wagons (freight bogies) have been prepared for the Cattle special train. Each wagon can carry 20 cows. Wagons will be increased as per the demand of farmers and traders.
