Sabina Yasmin is a legendary singer of the country. Her voice
specially in patriotic and playback songs, is outstandingly well. Popular singer of present generation, Razib has fulfilled his dream to render song with Sabina Yasmin earlier.
Razib lent his voice with this noted singer in a playback song for Gazi Mahbub directed movie ‘Shiri Farhad.’ Late Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul composed lyrics and music of this song.
This time on September 12, Razib again got the opportunity to render another playback song with Sabina Yasmin. Razib has lent his vocal with Sabina Yasmin for a playback song titled ‘Prem Jowar’ for movie ‘Aleya.’ Salehin Razu wrote lyrics of the song while Sontosh Kumar has composed its tune and music.
While talking about rendering the song, Sabina Yasmin said, “If I don’t like lyrics and music composition of a song, I don’t render it. In movie ‘Aleya,’ the playback song ‘Prem Jowar’ is a folk genre, which I have liked. Razib rendered song well. Earlier, he rendered a playback song with me.”
Razib shared his feelings by this way, “Sabina Yasmin Apa is a living legend in Bengali songs. It is really a great luck for me to get the opportunity to render a duet playback song with her. As a singer, it is a great achievement for me and also for my musical career, I think so. It is also blessing for me.”
It is noted that Sabina Yasmin first lent her voice for a playback song titled ‘Modhu Joshna Dipali,’ which music was directed by Altaf Mahmud, in Amzad Hossain and Nurul Haque Bachchu directed ‘Agun Niye Khela.’
This noted singer got the highest number of National Film Awards (14 times). She got Ekushey Padak (1984) and Swadhinata Padak (1996).
Meanwhile, after performing in Sylhet, Razib has already returned to Dhaka. Recently he presented eight songs rendered by legendary playback singer late Andrew Kishore at BTV’s a programme.
