Today is the birthday of legendary singer of the subcontinent and also one of the brightest stars of Bangladesh in the field of music Sabina Yasmin. She won hearts of many music lovers by virtue of her rendered thousands of songs till now. To celebrate her birthday, she on Sunday night went to Singapore. She will pass her birthday there along with her friends.
While talking in this regard Sabina told this correspondent before leaving airport, “When birthday comes I miss my parents and sisters. After getting everybody’s love I try to forget my pains. Many well wishers and my fans from home and abroad wish me on my birthday. But I am happy because I will pass my birthday with my friends Milia, Bubly, Rita, among others in Singapore. Everybody pray for me.”
It is noted that Sabina Yasmin first gave her voice as child singer in late Robin Ghosh’s music composition and late Ehtesham directed movie Notun Sur in 1962. But she debuted her career in play-back in Amzad Hossain and Nurul Haque Bachchu’s Agun Niye Khela in 1967. She got National Film Award for 13 times including in 1984, she got Ekushey Padak and in 1996, she got Shadhinata Padak.
