Star woman booter Sabina khatun continued to hog headlines in Indian women’s league as she again found the net to get her named among the goal scorers as her team Sethu FC blank Rising Student Club by 2-0 margin on Sunday.
It was an icing in cake for women football as Bangladesh women team became champions in the U-15 CGI Youth Football tournament in Hong Kong on Sunday beating the host by 6-0 in the final.
Sabina, who had also opened the scoring in her side’s 2-0 victory against Gokulam Kerala FC in the previous match, now has two goals in three league appearances.
The first half between Rising and Sethu today ended goalless before Sabina took matters into her own hands to latch on to captain Indumathi’s pass to dribbled past two defenders to score a brilliant goal in the 47th minute.
