Sports Reporter :
Sabbir Rahman could not take part in domestic cricket since December last. Though he took part in the out going Sri Lanka Series and Nidahas Trophy but he was out of field as he was banned for six months.
Sabbir Rahman said, ” I could not participate in the Bangladesh Championship League and Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League. In that time, I alone worked for my fitness. There were some technical mistakes, I tried to come out from those mistakes.”
The middle-order batsman said, ” My target is to perform well in the ensuing Afghanistan Series. I shall try to play confidently. If anyone makes a big score, no one will discuss about his technique. Technique and temperament may be a important point but big score is the main thing.”
Sabbir said, ” Nidahas Trophy will inspired us and will give confidence. I hope we shall perform against Afghanistan up to the mark.”
He said, ” There is no big team or no minnow team in T20I format. Afghanistan are playing well day by day. But we are favourites as we are more experienced than them. There are three to four world-class players in Afghanistan. But we have some good and experienced players. I hope we shall win the matches by executing our experience.”
