Heads of SAARC Statistical Organisations will hold its 9th meeting with the theme “Gender Statistics” at hotel La Meridian here from April 11-13.
Department of Statistics and Information Management Acting Secretary Sourendra Nath Chakraborty will join the inaugural function as the chief guest, said a press release.
Bangladesh is hosting the three-day meeting and delegates from SAARC member states except Afghanistan and other international organizations like Paris 21 and RSDA (Regional Strategy for Development of Statistics) will take part in the meeting.
The meeting will discuss SAARC Regional Statistical System Review, agriculture statistics, trade statistics, merchandise and services, project concepts and standard of health statistics.
