South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh LEE Jang-Keun paid a courtesy call on Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury on Wednesday at his office at the secretariat.
During the meeting, Saifuzzaman expressed his strong optimism on the strengthening of the strategic, commercial and global partnerships between the two countries while recalling the successful visit of South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon last year, said a press release.
Ambassador LEE Jang-Keun praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s strong leadership for Bangladesh’s rapid industrialization and development. The ambassador said that Bangladesh is one of the priority partner countries of South Korea.
After the meeting, the minister handed over the Innovation Award 2019-20 and Integrity Award 2018-19 at his office.
Ministry of Land Deputy Secretary Md Doulutuzzaman Khan won the first and second prizes of Innovation Award 2019-20 for Virtual Record Room and Land Service Mobile App and Dhaka Zonal Settlement Officer Md Mominur Rashid won the third prize for his contribution to Online Land Survey Management.
Director General of Land Record and Survey Department Md Taslimul Islam, Deputy Secretary of Land Ministry Md Doulutuzzaman Khan and Computer Operator of Land Ministry Md Zahidul Islam won the Integrity Award 2018-19 in their respective categories.
